Region 5 Youth - Grant Program

The Region 5 Youth are proud to offer a Grant Program for Region 5 Regionals and Youth Nationals. These grants are being funded by the Region 5 Youth through their fundraising. Grants are given out to Region 5 Youth members who are first time exhibitors. 
 

Congratulations to our 2023 Region 5 Youth Grant winners.

Thank you to all who supported the fundraiser throughout the year without your support, these grants would not be possible.
We were proud to give out $3,500 worth of grants.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MAY 13TH

This grant program is open to Region 5 Youth Members to fund horse show entries at the Region 5 Championship Show, Region 5 Off Site Sport Horse Championship Show and Youth Nationals.  Region 5 Youth must be members of a local Region 5 Club.  


Region 5 Championship Show or Region 5 Off Site Sport Horse Championship Show:

The goal is to give out one $500 grant to the Region 5 Championship show and one $500 grant to the Region 5 Off Site Sport Horse Championship Show. The grants are given specifically to fund horse show entries. For the Region 5 Championship or Region 5 Off Site Sport Horse Championship Show by applying for this grant you are declaring that you have never shown at a Regional Championship Show prior to the 2024 season.  


Youth Nationals:

The goal is to give out two $1000 grants to Youth Nationals. The grants are given specifically to cover the cost of Entry Fees for the horse show.
For the Youth Nationals Grant, by applying for this grant you are declaring that you have never shown at Youth Nationals prior to the 2024 season.


Please answer the following questions on a separate page and return to RegionVBoard@gmail.com by Monday May 13th at 5pm PST. 
  
1.)  Name and Parents Name 

2.)  Address, Phone and Email 

3.)  What grant you are applying for 

4.)  Age 

5.)  Divisions/Classes you enter at the show 

6.)  What would this grant mean to you? 

7.)  Provide a letter of recommendation from your trainer and it must include a statement from your trainer that they intend to attend the show that you are applying for. If you do not have a trainer your parent must make a statement that you intend to attend the show for which you are applying. 


General Rules:

  • One grant per person  
  • A copy of the entry blank showing show totals must be submitted by the selected winner.  
  • A Region 5 board member may contact the show secretary to verify entry.  
  • A reimbursement check will be mailed to the parents of the selected winner, prior to the close of entries deadline.  

If grant winner has to scratch the show for any reason the check will need to be returned to the Region.    

*Additional grants may become available if fundraising supports.
