Region 5 Youth - Officer Bios

Haley Fryrear - Co-Director

I am Haley Fryrear, I am a 16-yr. old Jr at Lincoln Hill High School. I currently own 3 horses and compete at 4-H, open and A circuit.  In addition to being this year’s Region 5 Co Director I am also the Vice President for my 4-H club. I want to pursue career in farrier/ hoof care. I began showing when I was 18 months old, riding in my first leadline class. I enjoy riding and competing in many events – saddleseat, hunter, western, jumping, dressage, reining, cows and driving. My mom and grandma have been great supporters for my horse and showing.

She enjoys spending time with her horse, reading, and eating lots of Middle Eastern food.

Presley Cole - Vice Director

My name is Presley Cole. I am 14 years old and I have been riding since I was 11. For the last 2 years, I have shown a half-Arabian mare named Mavericks Lil Diva at Region 5 and all the local shows and I really love it! This past year I became more involved in volunteering at the shows and helping with the youth program. The Arabian Horse community is full of very supportive and kind people. No association quite compares to AHA! I hope to help the youth organization continue to grow, as we have such a bright future ahead. I also hope to promote the Arabian breed and get the youth more involved at the shows! Thanks to all those who helped me get here!

Rhianna Anderson – Secretary

My Name is Rhianna Anderson. I am seventeen years old and I have been riding Arabians for about six years. The barn that I ride at is called Opus Arabians, I have been there since I first started riding.

I ride a lot of horses, but the one that I have been riding the most for the past three years is an eighteen year old chestnut Arabian gelding called JR. I was the Secretary of the Region V Youth for two years and have recently been elected as the Vice Director.

As this is my last year as a youth, I want to make even more of a difference this year. I want to increase interest in the Arabian breed, as well as increase participation at Arabian shows.

Maddy Packebush - Treasurer

My name is Maddy Packebush, I am 15 years old and I grew up around horses but didn't start riding and showing until January of 2015. I fell in love with the Arabian breed and the Arabian horse community immediately. I now own a purebred gelding and we compete in western pleasure, showmanship and horsemanship. I am trying to be a better horseman and go beyond riding and showing to see what else I can do in the horse community.

I love Region 5 and the trainers, they are a great example for me. I particularly enjoy watching Ron Copple and the beautiful horses that he trains. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my trainer, Kimberly Will and Region 5 youth coordinator, Kari Amundson for all that they have done for me to get this far. Hannah E. Rothfuss
